Hey all, it seems lugnet.castle has been kinda quiet lately, and since I don't
have anything new to post, I thought it might be fun to do a little survey
kinda thing.  Just reply to this message and fill in the answers with your own.

What is your name?
=Leonard "Crackhead Lenny" Hoffman

How old are you?
=I'm 23 going on 24!

What does real life mean for you?
=I'm a Library Technical Assistant at Dirac Science Library at FSU, currently
trying to get teacher certification to be a High School History teacher.  I've
got a wife, Tonia, and we're trying to produce another, altho smaller, Hoffman.

Do you have a sig Fig (post a pic, if you can)?
=Yep, Sun Kian, seen here:
http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=384930 in front of an empty
shot. and here: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=77456 showing
off his custom made "Hack-sword" (which is a cross between an axe and a sword).

What is the name of your fantasy world/country?
=Caerany.  As you may know 'caer' is keltic for 'castle or fort'. In my world,
each clan was identified by its fortifications, and somehow the name lept to
refering to the people themselves, hence the Caeric People, and their
country-name, Caerany.

here's my lugnet ftx site: http://www.lugnet.com/~1168/caerany/ and there's
also some stuff on my webbie http://www.ozbricks.net/glencaer

Favorite Castle set?
=Easy! 3739, the Blacksmith Shop.  I've been a big fan of Dan Siskind's stuff,
and could never afford his sets (LTA doesn't pay that well), so I was super
thrilled at a LEGO version of the Shop.  Now I own four copies, which has
greatly increased my Lego castle building power!

Favorite Personal MOC?
=Of my own? Well, my manor house,
http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=39964 is my fav so far.  The
perfect example of how real life inspiration (it is based off a real manor
house) leads to an excellent build to an excellent creation.

Favorite Other MOC?
=how can I pick just one?  Anthony's Tel'Karak is a picture perfect example of
the greatness of Lego castle building and neurosis. Almost every day I see
something that really makes me go 'how, i never thought of that!' but i'd have
to say a personal favorite is Onishi Shinji's bakery:
http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=37675 . i'd easily site it as
the LEGO inspiration that eventually lead to my Manor House.

What is a project you'd like to do but just don't have the bricks?
=I always loved building villages, and i've got one currently on schedule.  but
something I've wanted to do for a while, and just haven't taken the time, is to
do LEGO version of Zelda villages.  Like Karakiko from Ocarina of Time or
Windfall Island from Windwaker.  I think such a project would be really popular
and be a lot of fun to do. but, no bricks, no space, no time. alas.

What would you like TLG to do with the castle line?
=I'm a fine of classic castle, meaning black falcons v. lions v. battleaxe
people.  I'd like to see more factions along that line.  Altho I like the more
detailed torsos in KK, the character faces take away from the interchangability
that I love about classic castle.  Also, there is a real polarization with
Lions=good and Bulls=evil in KK, whereas classic castle doesn't have such a
clear distinction, blk falcons and lions are just to different competing
groups.  What if there were four different groups? each with their own castle
and supporting structures, etc.  Sounds like great fun to me.

Also, I like civilian castle creation over purely war-related items.

=====
well that's all. hopefully this will be fun and generate some cool discussion
peace
-vive le crackhead
