oh I Know! the problem is just about all castle creations are large ones, with the exception of sigfigs, which aren't that interesting on a large scale. I mean, think about it: the Blacksmith Shop, 3739, is a SMALL castle creation and it has 600 (...) (22 years ago, 17-Oct-02, to lugnet.castle)

Hey everyone! A fellow .castle follower in a previous post suggested that .castle is losing members because our lack of activity. One word - "marketplace"! The market place was the center of the medevil town. Now we castle builders need to become merchantmen instead of army generals. A market stand is built onto a "plot" - say 15x15. The "plot" may either have 1 corner or no (...) (22 years ago, 18-Oct-02, to lugnet.castle)

My fellow .castle members, i personaly do not plan on leaving nor do i plan on losing interest in castle themes, for a few good reasons. mainly one actually, my entire lego set is 90% castle, i plan to stay a castle theme person for a very long (...) (22 years ago, 18-Oct-02, to lugnet.castle)

I really like this idea for a common project. Of course, I am biased since it is already what I am doing. I use the 32x32 baseplate as the standard in my town so I am fine with the minimum of 16x16 as the standard for this project. It just means (...) (22 years ago, 19-Oct-02, to lugnet.castle)

Hey all, Here is a couple of new MOCs I built recently. The old Windmill (URL) windmill is built into a stone outcropping, which I think gives it an interesting look. Sounds fine to me. We can always change it later if problems arise. It sounds flexible enough to start with. One thing we do need to address is city walls and street width. You make it sound as if .castle is dead, but I don't think this is the case. Even if there isn't a real castle line being sold, with the recent legends serieses coming out, it is clear that LEGO haven't forgotten us. The modular space projet was, as (...) The windmill is particularly cool, with it's partially covered with stone side and using the ewok glider as the windmill panels (whatever those are called). what a great little moc! I've been working on castle walls for a town that is completely modular. I'll tell you how I'm doing it and you can decide for yourselves if you want to adopt it, alter it, or throw it in the garbage. :) First I built Wall Segments on 16x32 plates. (...) Thanks Lenny, I appreciate your comments. You have a point about my stone "hut." I tend to think of a hut as a size thing and not condition. For instance the HP set "Hagrid's Hut" is a small stone house in good condition. There are other examples (...) (22 years ago, 21-Oct-02, to lugnet.castle)

If you want proof that there are more castle fans out there, try comparing prices of space pieces on Bricklink to castle pieces..... You can always find lots of space torsos for anywhere from 35-55 cents each. Try finding castle torsoes for this (...) (22 years ago, 22-Oct-02, to lugnet.castle)

The Castle Theme rocks, that is until the Ninja Theme appeared. I still consider myself a Castle nut, but I don't do many MOC's. I have over 630 Castle and over 700 Ninja minifigs. Sorry, no pix. I haven't added them up lately and I have recieved (...) (22 years ago, 23-Oct-02, to lugnet.castle)
