I've mapped both dat and mpd to ldlite.  I had them set to l3lab for a while;
l3lab didn't come up as quickly as it pops up dialog boxes if it hits any
errors in the file which slows down the action.

I think I remember seeing some folks mapping dat and mpd to mlcad as well; not
sure how that would work out, though.
