In a recent (and active) thread entitled "This is irritating" in RTL, it's
been suggested that "Lugnet was designed for compartmentalised dorks"

compartmentalised? Sure, but that's a good thing.

dorks? No Way! Geeks, yes, but that's just a fun term, not derogatory.

and
that "[it's] for the dorks who can't make up [their] own mind whether to
read a posting or not"

No, no. It's a place for people to pick and choose what facet of Lego they want
to read about or post to. Much better than trudging thru all those posts on
rtl...And no spam!

and that I am "constantly telling people where they
can and can't post a message on the threat of being expelled"...

constantly...on the threat of being expelled? Disagree on that as well.
Has anybody ever been expelled? I know a few times privileges have been
suspended, until the offender has apoligised/made a commitment to follow the
terms of use. Which is good as well. I know I don't want to read posts in all
caps, no puctuation or peppered with swear words. Nor do I want to see
announcements of sales & auctions where they don't belong.

I personally happen to disagree with these opinions, but am concerned about
how such an impression could have formed, and whether other people share
that view.

I don't know how somebody could have formed that impression. I think it is
obvious that posters impression is not a shared one.

Thanks for all you do Todd & Suzanne!!!!
