(...) There's a real fuzzy line with varying levels of gray. A peg-leg pirate is maybe only 95% a minifig, and a skeleton only 80% a minifig. (...) I agree it's gray. but to me a minifig has to have the torso capable of accepting legs (per the def'n posted), minifig hands, and a minifig head. Because there are three minifigs on the box, doesn't necessarily mean that you get three minifigs with that set. Swap heads between them, and you get three (...) Humanoids includes all Minifigs (including Jar-Jar) and Minifig-like figures, like Battle Droids and skeletons. Characters is sorta a catch-all catagory (...) Jar Jar is a minifig. The only thing non-minifig about him is his head. R2 and the eps1 battle droids should form a new catagory of robots or droids(I mean this in the Ldraw catagorization method) Ryan "Build or build not. There is no try." - Lego (...) (...) According to your arguement, any brick (not plate) can be classified as a minifig. You did not limit the definition of "torso", and all bricks can accept minifig legs. Sorry... but I thought that it was the fact that they were small, lego representations of people that made them mini-figs. Why is this over-analyzed?
