Well, because that's the way Lou started it when he started it. And it's a
very popular thing (as in, it's something that a lot of people care about
for some reason). Something special about minifigs.

Was hoping to (very long-term) get all of this data from parts inventories
of the sets. That way, any type of piece can be looked up in this manner,
just as easily as a minifig. This a long way out, though.

| (...) My vote would be to keep the count of figures as the number of mini-figs (of course for Scala this should be the number of dolls, etc). I would not count Sebulba as a figure.
