I picked up each of the new 2005 small 'racers' sets at the MOA LIC on Saturday. They're cute sets, but my 8644 is pretty disappointing. What's funny is the other day I was thinking of building a marble machine with LEGO. After reading about this contraption system, I got super-motivated and built myself a ball pump last night. I assume that it would fly around by means of a point-source graviton generator, so it wouldn't need vectored thrust or aerodynamic lift (they're not engines, they're generators of some kind).
