GATS is very national. Except for the NE, where they don't have as much
presence, they do a lot of shows all over the US. At the national level they
are aware of the power of LEGO(r) and what clubs are consistently able to
achieve once they get some seasoning and organization. So you have one tick
in favor there. But you're a new club to them... they haven't seen what YOU
can do.
Some clubs do better shows than others (better from the perspective of
GATS), and that's only natural. It's a matter of interest, experience, and
resources (people, tables, built up things, etc. etc. etc.)

The message board.

Glad to help. if other clubs want copies just contact me, I have a pretty
good set. I also appreciate GETTING copies of handouts done by other clubs.

Um, that was a one off. The clubs all sent in containers based on how many
clubs existed at the time, KK doesn't have a stock of extra containers to
send out. Perhaps at some future time another exchange round can be done...
but it's not a "contact KK and get a set of containers" sort of thing.

A worthy goal in and of itself.
