  High Speed Trains-Photogallery Link-LEGO Acela v.1

Upon seeing the S@H gray train windows and doors sets, I immediately began thinking "Amtrak Acela". While searching for photos of Amtrak's Acela train set, I came across this link to "high speed rail around the world": (URL) Acela in particular: (...) (24 years ago, 24-Oct-00, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: High Speed Trains-Photogallery Link-LEGO Acela v.1

(...) Absolutely, now that real train windows and doors are available! This is an answer to my post of 1 year ago (Trains / 2365). I see the possibilities. (It doesn't look like 4561 would be very helpful for an Acela project, however. I still (...) (24 years ago, 25-Oct-00, to lugnet.trains)

(...) <snipped links to Acela photos> (...) Hmmm, if I had more 1 by 2 wide by 3 tall trans-light blue thin wall windows (like the 4561 has), I would seriously consider using the same window technique as in Masayuki Ogura's (Nyanta's) Japanese high (...) Hi James, again I am facinated by your latest train creation! The Acela looks really good. What will Version II - VI look like??   Re: High Speed Trains-Photogallery Link-LEGO Acela v.1

(...) Well, it isn't version II. More of an incomplete color study. I'm not sure what color badging I like the best...or more (hopefully) matches the real-life Acela HSEL locomotive.   Re: High Speed Trains-Photogallery Link-LEGO Acela v.1

(...) That was a pretty easy change. I think the dual-nose High Horsepower locomotive may have a blue roof above the cab windscreen. Maybe that's what stuck in my mind for the color of version 1. (...) I think I understand your description. Making (...) (24 years ago, 26-Oct-00, to lugnet.trains)
