I ment that I called up LEGO and they sent me a whole new set of wheels. THey had no problem with it. After replacing the old SF wheels with the new, I looked at what would cause the high friction. I have two Santa Fe engines and a B Unit I built to go with them. I have two moters one on each of the A units. I too had a hard time with the SF engines pulling more then 10 cars. I've tried your suggestions in the past... :-( DON'T do it... Scroll down... (...) You'll certainly ruin 1 or more integrated wires. Fixing these is a hell of a job. My Brickshelf folder is moderated so here it is : (URL) finished the model, which meant building driver cab and rear nose. Also reworked the bogies a bit and added some details. Front nose has one light built in. Unfortunately due to the (...) (22 years ago, 13-Oct-02, to lugnet.trains) !
