That's a good point. If you feel that way then I guess you'd consider the
Bionicle line 'Technic' also in the meaning I'm talking about. I don't.
As I said - it's subjective.

Which, of course, is why this whole argument is completely pointless and
everyone who posted in this thread is insane (especially me).  Not that
there's anything wrong with pointlessness or insanity, but I thought I'd
just point that out.

(...) I think it's obvious that it's a 'Model Team' set by nature. I have only 3 Model Team sets but I got the impression that all of them contain at least some Technic elements and have some functions. What differentiates this line from the Technic (...) (23 years ago, 31-May-01, to lugnet.technic)
