Re: New set on back of 4502?

(...) Exactly, Paul. I had assumed that people knew what it was by now so I only looked at the set list on FBTB. I didn't dig through all the archived notes. But I did search this newsgroup here, and the topic wasn't discussed at all (until now). (...) (21 years ago, 29-Feb-04, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: New set on back of 4502?

(...) Hey Kyle, This topic has been discussed to death on FBTB. I guess you just didn't look in the right place. It has seemed to me that most LEGO Star Wars discussion goes on at FBTB now and not many folks discuss it here on LUGNET (I think that (...) (21 years ago, 28-Feb-04, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: New set on back of 4502?

Re: He just keeps getting dumber - no original cuts? what's next?

(...) Jabba the Mutt? Wow, I don't think I've watched the SE interviews since I first opened my boxed set. (21 years ago, 28-Feb-04, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: He just keeps getting dumber - no original cuts? what's next?

(...) In the interview at the beginning of the Special Edition VHS tape, George Lucas says "Originally I thought Jabba the Hutt would be kind of a furry character, like Chewbacca." - Dan Efran Martian Ambassador (URL) (21 years ago, 28-Feb-04, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: He just keeps getting dumber - no original cuts? what's next?

(...) No, and that's the one big thing that I like about the scene not being included in the original cut. It left Jabba open for redesign when RotJ came along, since he'd never appeared in the previous two movies. See, if you make a big hulking (...) (21 years ago, 26-Feb-04, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Is the 4492 Mini SD's bridge on backwards ?

(...) I agree 100%. If you build the model as the plans show it, all the detail on the tower is at the back and the front of the tower tapers, which shouldn't happen. Also, the bridge doesn't have a slight overhang at the front as it should do. I (...) (21 years ago, 26-Feb-04, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: What happened to FBTB.net?!

(...) It got FARKED!! I read fark.com and noticed something about acpin and a complete deathstar, well that will bring about 10000 extra people to any site and that will kill most servers. It just takes a day or so for the server to get back online. (21 years ago, 26-Feb-04, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: He just keeps getting dumber - no original cuts? what's next?

(...) Was Jabba supposed to be a slug originally? This scene is included in the novel, and Jabba is clearly human. If the filmed scene was supposed to have an animated Jabba superimosed over the actor, then why was the actor in costume? I'd be (...) (21 years ago, 26-Feb-04, to lugnet.starwars)

Is the 4492 Mini SD's bridge on backwards ?

I finally picked up a Mini Star Destroyer and while I'm not thrilled with the new colors, I think it's a great model *IF* you turn the bridge around 180 degrees from the way the instruction manual shows it be attached. I've got a bunch of SD models (...) (21 years ago, 26-Feb-04, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: He just keeps getting dumber - no original cuts? what's next?

(...) Fine, make me dig out the old video... (ah, I don't believe I've watched it since pre-SE days, so I don't mind) Okay, if you have a copy of "From Star Wars to Jedi: The Making of a Saga" (released in conjunction with the THX remastered (...) (21 years ago, 25-Feb-04, to lugnet.starwars)

New set on back of 4502?

G'day folks, I was just looking at 4502 in the store and noticed on the back that another set is advertised. I think the number was 10131 (or 10031?). It also had a release date 2004-04-08 (so either April 08 or August 04 depending on convention). (...) (21 years ago, 25-Feb-04, to lugnet.starwars)

  What happened to FBTB.net?!

I went to FBTB just now and saw this: No web site is configured at this address. That's it. Nothing but that single line. I think it's equivalent to a 404 error. What happened? (21 years ago, 25-Feb-04, to lugnet.starwars) !
