.space Subthemes

There are still some gaps; if you have any information to add, email me at bricksidge@yahoo.com (or reply to this thread along with your praise)

Thanks for doing this Kevin; it is a great service to the community, and a wonderful resource for newcomers to get a handle on the multiplicity of themes. It may also be a can of worms, so to speak...

I don’t mean to quibble here, but I think that Dan would agree that this was a case of great minds thinking alike. Dan Rubin’s Space Love Bus and my < http://news.lugnet.com/announce/moc/?n=1752 Further 2.0 Hoverbus> were posted within three hours of each other. So, I’m thinking that we’re co-creators, but I leave it up to others to decide. Heck, I’d even put Keith Goldman up there, as the Iron Reich’s paranoia about hippies was an early impetus for me. (that and knowing a thing or two about the culture...)

While not really a Space Hippie craft, Mark Stafford’s Love Bubble deserves some mention for it’s light-hearted colour scheme... Are they pirates or hippies? Or, a theme of their own? Cross-theme builders and...I think I have an idea for one of those Jerry-Springer type shows...;-)

Which leads me to consider sub-sub-themes and factions... Like the original Hippies, Space Peace has several factions. And that’s just within my corner of things...Oh yeah, I guess it’s mostly in my mind at the moment.

Oh, and by the way, I think that while this area is called .space, the science fiction nature of it does allow for the inclusion of the Sea Monkeys.

Peace and harmony,

Professor Whateverly

Hey, thanks for the cred there Ley. I would indeed agree that we both came to the same conclusion around the same time.

I had the same influence for their creation as you in fact, the same MOC that you linked to.
