Neat ideas! A stack of ContainerHab floors lends itself nicely to several
high-density temporary housing uses:
* Low income single person housing
* Construction worker/military barracks
* cargo runner motel (think truck stop)
* prison cell block
* university dorm
* disaster relief shelter
With a level or two at the base (and/or maybe every few levels) for public
areas, building operations and maintenance, supply dock & storage, offices, food
service, entertainment, etc, this would make a very usable building design. One
could also easily increase the number of Hab mods by about 2/3 per floor by
squishing the containers closer together.
Reminds me of The Fifth Element, Neuromancer, or real-life young
businessperson's apartment dwellings in Japan. VERY spartan, but an efficient
use of space and materials, with simple, quick construction. Expansion would be
a breeze, too...just drop in a new skeleton frame section. Either add
containers as needs dictate, or drop in a complete floor when it's time to
expand.
Dig it!
