Hello space-a-rinos,

I don’t know if a final standard for moonbase containers has been figured out, but here is my humble attempt at a solution. http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=85105

It’s smaller than other’s I’ve seen and less part intensive (for trading you could make one out of slopes and bricks that looks the part). It can be customized easliy at the points where greeblies/computer tiles are. It has plenty of room for stickers. It can be expanded by 4 studs for larger container. Most importantly, it fits inside the cooridors. I do know it’s not “dockable” with anything (although I think a clamp could be made to grab it on the handles.)

Whatcha think?

AHA! (forgive the self reply but credit must be given :-D ) I KNEW I had inspiration for this from somewhere... and it was the good Grand Admiral who did it... long ago. (URL) (dude, I still think that is pink brick) GA always years ahead of the (...) (20 years ago, 2-Jun-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

(...) I like it. I think it can coexist with the 8x16 corridor sized containers too: large containers could easily carry the little ones (2 to a standard container, or 1 to a half-sized container), and the little containers would be more useful for (...) Even though I rarely start threads on Lugnet, I thought this topic is ripe for discussion. We've seen from the recent thread, (URL) gives space a whirl, that there seems to be some interest in a Space Cargo Container Standard. Drawing on the above (...) (21 years ago, 25-Mar-04, to lugnet.space)
