I,m in the begining stages od building my handyboard kit. But I seem to be having trouble with the charger card. It was while doing the testing for the max232 serial ic.   Need help with NQC
 
I just wrote a program and I can't get it to work. I download it to the RCX and it just runs its motors. I look at the display and push on the bumper and it has those little triagles. Sam & Victor, Thanks for the prompt replies. I was led astray by the fact that I got a graphic image when I first opened that file (lib_hb_exp.ic). I used BricXCC and the USB tower to program the Scout. I was wondering how the programming was done by NQC. Are the Scout and RCX command sets compatible? How so? Hi John. There's another file that does it... I think it's an .IC file, but not sure. Since I'm at work, I can't check (No IC), but I found it simply by opening up various .IC files in the Handyboard directory. Eventually I came across a file that (...) I've been experimenting with Interactive C 4.0 and have run into a problem. I am unable to modify the list of files which are downloaded when IC4.0 is initialized. Concerning the name change, call for ideas and a vote, I would suggest that a NEW thread entitled similar to "Call for legOS name change" be created in lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos. That would be great. Thanks Mark! Obviously, it will be prudent to make some or all of these optional at compile time... but I believe at least half of them are useful for most users. Hi Ralf, Did you have a change to test the i2c-rcx link. I am very curious what the results are. I made an I2C link directly to the LPT port and tried to read some kind of a bar coded lego train. (...) But... be aware that the 'polarity switch' has only two connectors (for two sets of wires). It's not a '3-way' where you can try to select one of two inputs by moving the lever. (...) Use a resistor to make one of the states of the switch read less than a full short. Setup as a light sensor. 0 means off 50~ means one state and 100 means another. I just uploaded a Rubber Belt Generator utility, that creates DAT files for rubber belts taut between two pulleys.
