dude, ive never heard of you before.. im a castlehead and rarely leave that
newsgroup, but for somereason i found this message line today and have read it
all. here are some thoughts ive had, hopefully they'll help somewhat.

1) 'netiquette' is not meant to be an oppressive system to keep certain people
down.  in this context it is the rules of 'fair play,' that is, how to be
respectful and polite, even if you may not feel respect.  obviously many people
have not been polite here, but that is never an excuse for not being polite
yourself.

if you don't care about what people think of you, or what they have to say..
then why are you here? why do you care?

2) please read closely what others write to you, and try to interpret it in the
best manner possible; that is probably how they meant it.

3) you have made some charges, comparisons, and inferences that i think are
totally out of line.  you have suggested that some people are trying to kill
you, that lugnet is becoming like the communist regime in cuba, amongst others.
dude, how can you say things like this and expect anyone to get along with you
at all?

4) and lastly, when there are people who are generally the nicest people in
lugnet, and they are advocating your dismissal, id take a moment to
self-reflect. see what it is that you are doing to help the situation.. people
are not blatantly evil, no single person is totally to blame.  it sounds like
you don't want to do anything to solve this problem on your side of it, that
people need to just stop being so mean and evil to you; well, welcome to real
life.

peace comes from two sides, both sides need to realize what they are doing to
maintain the war..

i would recommend that if you want people to be nice to you, be nice to them.
if thats too hard, then just stop posting.

its a simple as that
-lenny
