I finally made it into the Toys 'R' Us at Regency today to see if there were any sale items left. The blue tubs are back to regular price but the Rock Raiders sets are still on sale. Once I found out the Virginia Museum of Transportation was in Roanoke I emailed Beckie about being unable to participate. I do think a display is possible for the VMoT. Sorry to reply to my own message but Bert and I just looked at the Virginia Transportation Museum website and noticed that they are located in Roanoke! This is my first posting on Lugnet! I will try to attend the March 31st meeting. I didn't realize Richlug had a newsgroup on Lugnet and was waiting for information about the March meeting on our web site. I did email Beckie and Tim about the (...) This sounds good to me. I think that way everyone will have something that fits. I don't have a number for that particular dept, but I do have a customer relations number. I'm glad that they do not just want a "space" theme display. I was thinking that a multi-theme display that crossed several "timelines" could be really neat. The "edges" of each theme display could blend together (kind of like the Bill and Mary Idea (...) (24 years ago, 13-Mar-01, to lugnet.org.us.richlug)

I think a meeting on the 31st is our best bet. I think we will have a better turn out and will give us a little more time. The Library doesn't want just space thank goodness. I like your idea greg. A some what middle of theroad futuristic theme may be good for our display, it will make it easy for people to contribute the display and not intrude so much on what we want (...) I agree on the castle bit. A more open defensive position may be better. I bought some troops today for middle ages type combat.
