Possible November 12 train show participation —Kevin Wilson
Well, I got to talk to Dick Sutcliffe on the phone, they are interested in having us at the show, and he's sending over the papers for the train shop (by mail to me, orpossibly by fax to Dean and Alex). There's a cutoff date for entries of Sept (...) (24 years ago, 20-Sep-00, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

Re: Possible November 12 train show participation —Kevin Wilson
(...) Dean has the forms, and says we can meet at his place to look at them and sort out tables, layout, etc. I propose a meeting on Saturday (any time is good for me). Yeses, Nos, counter-suggestions, please! We have to have the forms in by Sep (...) (24 years ago, 20-Sep-00, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

Re: Possible November 12 train show participation —Robin Sather
Wow, what a busy week! Sorry I haven't jumped in on this thread. If there is enough interest (more than 3 or 4 people), I think it would be a lot of fun. Unfortunately, I can't make it to a prospective Saturday meeting to iron out some details. A (...) (24 years ago, 23-Sep-00, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

(...) Weeknights I can do: Mon, Tues or Fri. Thurs is a Maybe. Earlier is better (they are already pretty much full and it would be a shame to apply at the last minute and get told there's not room left). (...) Indeedy. If it was just Dean and I on (...)         Re: Possible November 12 train show participation —Bryan Wong
Hi, I have several comments to make at this point: I think that the question regarding how big the layout will be is VERY important. That dictates how much space needs to be "filled" and what we need to build. I'd love to help out in any way I can, (...) (24 years ago, 23-Sep-00, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

Re: Possible November 12 train show participation —Kevin Wilson
(...) I think we should size it by what we can fill, rather than the other way around. Actually when you start throwing together monorail track, train track AND a dock with boats, space gets eaten up rather fast. (...) I think we could use the idea (...)         Re: Possible November 12 train show participation —Claus Thiim
Here's my 2¢... 1. I'd love to build something, but my LEGO is in piles... one unwashed, one clean, one partially sorted. That which isn't in piles is partially sorted into ziplocks and other containers. Either way, it's not "build-able" for me. The (...) (24 years ago, 23-Sep-00, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

Dean (or Kevin), did you manage to contact Mr. Sutcliffe? If not, do you need any help in doing so? If you have, are we in? Please post what you've learned in regards to space, layout, exposure, etc. Robin (24 years ago, 30-Sep-00, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)
