Dave, I've gotten that message too. I believe he subscribes to the newsgroup via email, so it autoreplies anyone who sends him mail - which in this case was you (via the lugnet newsgroup). In lugnet.general, Eric Kingsley writes about stopping SPAM It can be easy to report abuse. I regularly get the tiny satisfaction of a reply from Excite or Yahoo that they cancelled the reply-to account. Use Spamcop.net and all you have to do is (...) Is anyone else having connection problems to lugnet this weekend? Dan and I can get ok to www.lugnet.com and guide.lugnet.com but can't communicate at all with img.lugnet.com or news.lugnet.com... pings even arn't going through, though they nslookup (...) That in fact is where I registered miltontrainworks.com and bricksmiths.com because while the per year price was the same, I was able to pay for 5 years at a time, which is worth something to me. This probably helps not at all, but FWIW, I'll comment that we've had similar problems with other websites, and yes, even with LUGNET when connecting through Juno (god how I'd kill to not have to use a modem). I've been migrating all my netsol domains to (URL) They only charge $17/yr and their service is infinately better than netsol or register.com. (...) I have a domain name that is almost out of paid time. I got it back in the days when Network Solutions was the only registry game in town. Other people are cheaper now.
