Dave,
I've gotten that message too. I believe he subscribes to the newsgroup via
email, so it autoreplies anyone who sends him mail - which in this case was
you (via the lugnet newsgroup). Perhaps if this is a nuisance someone from
the group should mention the autoresponder in regards to lugnet - or, if he
put his email on digest, the dead-end address at Lugnet would pick up the
autoreply, once a day.
