Coming from a man who obviously can’t grasp the subtleties of logic let alone the English language being called thick is really quite a compliment. I suggest you take some of the money you presumably have from your management of a multi-million dollar company and invest some of it in some education in logic and English classes.

Given the US Army’s reputation for race relations I’m not sure I would take your being a Race Relations Counselor in it as any sort of validity of your racism or lack thereof however since you have stated that you are not racist I will take it at face value and accept that you are not. Of course I never said you were racist, I said your comment was racist. To put the difference in terms you may understand, if I say “you had a vegetarian meal tonight” it is not the same as saying “you are a vegetarian”. The former implies you ate a meal with no meat, the latter implies you do not eat meat.

Finally, to answer some questions. Has the quality suffered? Not in my opinion. The instructions tend to have more errors but I assume this is a result of the accelerated production schedule rather than where they are produced. Did I fly off the handle? No. Did I use overly harsh (and as it was slightly incorrect) language? Yes.

Tim

For an example, we ordered 40,000 hooks from China. They (...) (18 years ago, 29-May-06, to lugnet.off-topic.debate, FTX)
