Actually, it's "typical LEGO translation." Y'see, this isn't
the first Spy Runner LEGO has produced; there was a Technic
set also called that in '97 or '98 (I bought a mess of 'em in
Feb '99 for $1 apiece, they were green, etc etc). So it's
probably just meant to be catchy, I'd suppose. Now, were it
called 'Happy Spy Mountain Trekker' I'd definitely have to
go with Maggie's suggestion. ;)
