In addition to many stories you aren't going to believe there are links to
real-world news stories and lawsuits that you'll likely discount. It's easy to
dismiss these stories because they seem so over-the-top, but I have first-hand
knowledge that these things happen. It happened to me. I'd explain but in a
community of big egos, once you've stated your skepticism there's no convincing
you short of personal experience, so you'll just have to wait and see if it
happens to you.

In fairness it probably won't. Paypal seems to screw a small number of its
customers. If they do, though, they'll tell people *you're* the crook and you'll
be so fighting mad that people won't believe you any more than you believed the
story that was posted here.
