I recently did this, purchasing the sets at AMES when they had their buy
one, get one half price sale.  It went quite well.  I am planning on doing
it again the next time there is a sale  ;)

Also, discussion had leaned towards buying a larger ammount of one set and
filling bigger bulk orders.  With the current sale on kbkids.com, it's
possible to get 30 Sith Infiltrators or 30 X-wings at a pretty decent price.
(30 is the limit they will let you order at once).  If anyone is interested
let me know.  The sale ends SOON.

I was thinking of getting a few sets of each SW (Maybe 4) (On clearance) • and
then parting them out for it. The part costs would not be that high. I • would put
in a straight percentage of profit, and the cost of the set. Hmmm...

Well,  how many people would like to see a SW parts store? I have the
capital(SP?), and if there enough people willing to buy the parts (I • might go
straight sale over auction), I would consider doing it. I am pretty • good at
sorting, after all.

I'd be up for fairly large quanties of several parts in the SW sets
at the right price.  Tiles and macaroni bricks for sure.  My
willing-to-pay price might be lower than some (I'm sure of it) but
for popular parts like that it wouldn't matter.

(...) Hrmmm, maybe you aren't as cheap as me. 7151 is $29.99 retail, right? So Target, Kohl's, K-Mart, whatever running them at 20% off comes out to $23.99. Even with TN's ridiculous 8.25% sales tax that's just $25.97 each. x30 = $779.10 KBKids.com (...) (25 years ago, 29-Oct-99, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)
