i haven't the read the books, i am never going to read the books (my reading
list is too full already!!) but i saw the film!

impressions: better than i thought it was going to be, but at points it was
seriously trite.  moments, such as the awarding of the house cup, where it
supposed to be hanging in suspence.. well i knew what was gonna happen from the
get go. gryfinndor wins? suprise suprise. the story was interesting, and it did
keep my interest but it isn't all that great, but thats becuase its a
child/teen novel and not adult literature.

i was suprised about quirell.. the movie was so obvious in someplaces that it
seemed like it HAD to be snape.  i liked the mirror element, and it as a
metaphor for drugs.

overall id give it a B.

what i find suprising is how different the lego sets are from the movie.. i
suppose they are inspired by the book/idea rather than movie. but it is kinda
striking the difference.

I'm glad to say it does live up to all the hype. Everything shown is exactly
as I imagined it to be, having read the books. My only reservation is that,
understandably, the story has been abbreviated, so consequently some of the
characters or scenes do not have the significance they do in the book. I
won't say too much in order not so spoil it for you.

I'd be interested to hear from people who have not read the book what they
think of it...

Go and see it ASAP!
