Heh-heh (Larry, you are sooooooo wicked).

When I was interviewed by the Canadian Broadcast Corp. reporters back in 1987
(for a TV news show on 25 years of LEGO in Canada), I used the term "coming out
of the LEGO closet".  After all isn't LEGO an alternative lifestyle?

And back then (before I discovered other AFOLs) it wasn't anything you told a
lot of people.  I'm sure many of us have had similar stories about not telling
a lot of people "I like building with LEGO".   Or the looks and stares at TRU
when you made a large purchase (just don't make eye contact with other people)
....  been there, done that.

I just have to ask, why were you cruising the Personals, eh John?

And as for cruising the male personals, were you "sizing up" the
competition or does your bread butter on a different side than I
thought? (not that there's anything wrong with that :-) )

Don't be ridiculous!  I was looking for Lego, not for a man!  You'd be
surprised, though, of the 25 or so Lego hits at Classifieds2000, 5 or more
were of a "personal" nature.  I guess its becoming acceptable to admit you
like Lego - we have come so far.  At least I liked Lego, before Lego was
cool.

(...) HA! Never! If they ask who it's for, I say it's for ME! When I bought 32 Halloween buckets at once, several people asked me on the way out if I was a teacher, I told them "No, I'm shipping these all over the world to other Lego fans that can't (...)
