Just a quick update:
Ive taken a little time and implemented a read-counter for web access to
news posts.
Now for display of individual articles you will find a new header line saying
Viewed: X times - it should show the actual views of that respective
article minus the current view (update happens after the article is displayed
completely). Of course views are only being counted for a couple of minutes
yet, so itll take some time until the values become meaningful.
Nevertheless there is now a means of control whether articles actually get
viewed (I cant speak for read and understood because thats beyond
controllability ;) )
Have fun,
Jerry

This is a fantastic implementation! Nicely done!
Will there be a future state where well get nightly (or weekly) listings for
top read articles akin to the top sets list that LUGNET automatically generates?
Just wondering.
Keep up the fantastic work!
