direct from the ToU:
"Additionally, you specifically acknowledge and agree that LUGNET and its
owners, operators and/or related entities are not liable for any defamatory,
offensive, or illegal conduct of any user. If you are dissatisfied with any
LUGNET material, or with any of the terms and conditions herein, your sole and
exclusive remedy is to discontinue using LUGNET."
The last line says it all. If you don't like the terms your only choice is to
leave. Sounds like he caught the point of it without much problem. I wouldn't
say the choice was drastic. Due to his feeling about the ToU it is his only
option.
To quote and old phrase "laws are for the lawless." We can't all take a new age
thinking. Someone has to be right and in this case Lugnet has choosen it's
rules and those who wish to use Lugnet must then abide by those rules.
Why do we have all this discussion about it. If you really want it (ToU) to be
something else just email Todd. He is still "king" last I heard.
