I must disagree with this.  I've caught crap for the content of my
signature files, which I refuse to edit or change just for these
newsgroups.  We call these words 'dirty' because some segment of the
population does not like them, but there are many people who don't mind
them at all, and in a public forum like this one we have to accept all
types.  I generally disaprove of abusive behavior, but slang terms in
and of themselves do not meet this standard.

This is a community for Lego enthusiasts.  Moral judgements of the
members are off-topic.  Sheesh.

Janet's point was that someone was rude, crude and disrespectful. This kind of behavior doesn't fit with the spirit of RTL. I'm not saying foul language automatically disqualifies someone, but when it is uncalled for (as it was in that situation), (...) (26 years ago, 29-Dec-98, to lugnet.general)
