Pat- I agree with most of the advice, though recommend against 2 of your conclusions: 1.We sort by color after sorting by type. 2.We do not label containers (at least not transparent ones). We've been growing a sorted collection for 14 years, and (...) (22 years ago, 13-Jul-04, to lugnet.general)

The TECHNIC hole is smaller in diameter than the inside of a 1x1 round brick, which is what allows TECHNIC pins to be inserted into round bricks without damaging the split tip. I looked at my two maces - one has the old gear and one the new. The new one grips better than the old, not worse, but neither slips. Yesterday, I purchased set 4753, "Sirius Black's Escape." The main reason I bought it was something that intrigued me from the photos - what looked like a large radius macaroni brick. Help!! What on Earth was I thinking? My complaints don't really concern the "fad" aspects of the Lego themes. I think licensing is an awesome way to diversify a product if it's done right. I would buy some of the new Castle, Star Wars, and HP sets regardless because there are some cool (...) (22 years ago, 8-Jul-04, to lugnet.general)
