Oh, I so hope the discussion can be, "in addition to Washington", instead of
"instead of Washington".
I've attended BrickFest with my son, 8 years old, as a member of the public for
the last 3 years. I think you should not underestimate the value of reaching
out to the public. We look forward to BrickFest for months. This year, my son
spent hours running around the GBC. We made a deal. If he (with some help),
builds a GBC module by the end of the school year, we'll be *in* BrickFest.
I know I speak selfishly. If there's no BrickFest 2007 in Washington, my son
and I will be sorely disappointed. But do not underestimate the loyal fan base
that BrickFest has amongst the public in the DC region. I'm sure we're not the
only ones who come back year after year.
So, think "both", not "instead".
