pasteboard building walls.  There were baseplates with slotted grids that
you would stick the walls into, and then plastic roof pieces to go on top.
Lots of one-piece plastic figures, and cars for them to drive around in.

My mom has a few of those sets, they still get dragged out when the
grandchildren visit. :)

(...) I guess I was thinking along the lines of, Steven Levy's "Insanely Great" because I wish Kjeld were the Steve Jobs of toys. But perhaps he'd re-read that other little book...
