[How do I convert an MPD model to a single-file DAT model?]

There are two steps to this operation: first you've got to split your MPD,
converting the single MPD to several DATs.  Then you've got to inline all the
submodel files into the main DAT file.

So, do this:

Get an MPD-splitter program.  Jacob's is DOS-based, Mpeedy is Windows-GUI. Or
use a text editor to copy'n'split at the 0 FILE lines. Whatever tool you choose,
use it to split the .MPD file into its constituent dats.

It's slightly neater if you put all the DATs in a separate directory (from your
other model files), but that's up to you.

General warning:  when using the inliner, make a copy of the file first.  The
Inliner saves automatically, the Cancel button is a vicious lie.

In LDAO, locate and select the main DAT file.  Then start the inliner by
choosing Tools | Inline Model.

On the Inliner dialog, mouse the following:

Check 'Recurse sub-files' (if your submodels have submodels)
Check 'Only sub-models' (else the part-files would be inlined, too)
Uncheck 'Retain original lines' (this is optional)
Click 'Select All'
Click 'Inline'

That's all you do.

Steve

(...) OK, so how do I do it? when I press the inline button in LDAO with a model selected, I get a textbox with my file in it but I don't see any new file written, or any changes to the old file.
