  LDMC site moved AGAIN. :-)

It is official and live: (URL) skippy! If no one cares, I am going to change the name to LDMC -- LDraw Mac Community. I'll slowly redo the site to reflect that it is a community now instead of a campaign. We're a community, right?.... right?..... (...)   Re: ldraw.org MOTM & SOTM Winners for August 2002

(...) guy who rendered that in LDraw should get a prize or something! Just kidding, Jon; I love the scene. The purple zapper effect is very nice, as is the background and overall composition. Bravo! (And thanks for the nod in the credits). Dave! (22 years ago, 4-Sep-02, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

ldraw.org MOTM & SOTM Winners for August 2002

Wow. Another summer gone... And the winners of the August MOTM and SOTM are: Anshul Sirur's chess model "Checkmate" and Jon Palmer's Spiff-inspired scene "THE SCUM BEINGS CLOSE IN!". Vote on the September entries here: (URL) Terry K -- (22 years ago, 3-Sep-02, to lugnet.announce, lugnet.cad, lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

  Re: LDMC site moved.

(...) Um, ok. Can I get mac@ldraw.org as a forwarding email too?... I like mac.ldraw.org. That way I dont' have to revamp the entire site before I can put it up. I do want to redo the site. I believe Matt G. wanted to also, and almost got it all (...) (22 years ago, 1-Sep-02, to lugnet.cad.dev.mac, lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

  Re: LDMC site moved.

(...) Yeah, it sounds like a good idea to me. For a totally separate site, it could be mac.ldraw.org, or we could stuff it in the current nav layout under www.ldraw.org/community/mac/ -Tim (22 years ago, 1-Sep-02, to lugnet.cad.dev.mac, lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

  Re: LDMC site moved.

(...) Why don't you ask about moving the content to ldraw.org? Seems like a reasonable place for it... Don (22 years ago, 1-Sep-02, to lugnet.cad.dev.mac, lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

  Re: Parts tracker sick?

(...) Looks like the subpart got mis-handled in the rename. It should be OK now. Chris (22 years ago, 31-Aug-02, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

  Parts tracker sick?

Or is it me? when I went to this part (URL) clicked on either (URL) get a dead link... (is this the right group to ask?) (22 years ago, 31-Aug-02, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

Re: Yet another idea - Portable LDraw system

(...) Go for it. :) I was taking the approach of grepping the part files for author names, and boiling the list down from there. Steve (22 years ago, 23-Aug-02, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw, lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Mindstorms Parts?

Thanks. The ones I'm looking for seem to be in Electric; it looks like my initial install was bad; I cleared it out, reinstalled, updated, etc. and all the Mindstorms stuff is there. Sorry for the bother =) -Brendan "Ross Crawford" (...) (22 years ago, 23-Aug-02, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

  Mindstorms Parts?

I've seen a bunch of models out there that use the Mindstorms parts (e.g. the RCX) but I can't seem to find them in the Ldraw site files. Where do I get the parts files for Mindstorms? I would love to do some modeling but need Mindstorms parts to do (...) (22 years ago, 23-Aug-02, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

Re: MOTM and SOTM winners for July 2002

Re: MOTM and SOTM winners for July 2002

(...) I hadn't noticed that. Is it possible to post a permanent rollover request, so I don't have to remember it whenever I have submitted a model or scene? Play well, Jacob (22 years ago, 14-Aug-02, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

Re: MOTM and SOTM winners for July 2002

(...) Rollover requests are SOP. But the submitters must request a rollover, and few ever do. -- Terry K -- (22 years ago, 13-Aug-02, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

Re: MOTM and SOTM winners for July 2002

(...) Yep. But what is going to happen this month is fine, I guess... I wouldn't change the rules out from under this month's entry. They win. :-) Going forward...   Re: MOTM and SOTM winners for July 2002

(...) Hi Larry, There is only one. At least that was all I had - there may have been more, but my email crapped out. So yes, that one will be a default winner.   Re: MPD spec

  Re: MPD spec

(...) Good point. I like the idea of a clearly defined new version of the file format. This would be a good point also to rename multi-part files in the second version to something relating to .LDR - perhaps .MPL could make the distinction? -Tim (22 years ago, 6-Aug-02, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw, lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: MPD spec

(...) Or perhaps MPD and LD2. We have discussed the time for a new, not LDraw compatible standard years ago. I don't like the idea of an "almost LDraw compatible" standard.   Re: Paths, explicit drive references, and the case of file names

(...) I would rather say that I had been lucky with the design of the program. I don't think I had to change much to make it work as you requested, but you can compare this and the previous version of the source code.   Re: MPD spec
