  Re: LDMC site moved.

(...) Yeah, it sounds like a good idea to me. For a totally separate site, it could be mac.ldraw.org, or we could stuff it in the current nav layout under www.ldraw.org/community/mac/ -Tim (22 years ago, 1-Sep-02, to lugnet.cad.dev.mac, lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

  Re: LDMC site moved.

Re: L3P like utility for Mac / Mac OS X

(...) Hey, I'll give it a look. When I was using MLCad, I wrote an AppleScritpt that alowed me to open a ".dat" file in MLCad from the Finder.   LDMC site moved.

LDMC has the .mac fatal disease (curable only with money). Unfortunately, I am not going to fork out the money to pay for .mac (Apple is retarded sometimes......).   Re: L3P like utility for Mac / Mac OS X

Chris, I have not been paying attention for a few months, but I am pretty sure that L3P has not been ported. I have emailed the developer quite a bit asking him to do this (or let someone else). He said it is in the queue. However, that was awhile (...) (22 years ago, 1-Sep-02, to lugnet.cad.dev.mac)

  Re: ** QUAD2DAT ** version 0.9.4 released **

(...) I believe either LDDesignPad or LDraw Add-On will work for you. In LDAO, I'd open your file in the text editor.   Re: ** QUAD2DAT ** version 0.9.4 released **

(...) Although I got MLCad to do it for me, this is good advice as I don't like what else it did to the file. Can you recommend a good inliner that runs in Win2K and is suitable for novice use? Thanks! (22 years ago, 31-Aug-02, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: ** QUAD2DAT ** version 0.9.4 released **

(...) Actually, if you go to the Quad2DAT website you'll find the v0.9.5 executable available for download. (The version number is in the fine print below the download link.) -Orion (22 years ago, 30-Aug-02, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: ** QUAD2DAT ** version 0.9.4 released **

(...) I guess it depends. Did Chris ask you to keep the file secret? Generally, my feeling is that you should hold onto the file, unless Chris specifically told you it was OK to pass it around. Steve (22 years ago, 30-Aug-02, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: ** QUAD2DAT ** version 0.9.4 released **

(...) a while back when Chris helped us with quad2dat stuff he gave us (me and george) an early v 0.9.5 its not my decition to let it out, so what does everyone think? i havent seen chris in a while, so shouldthe file be shared? (22 years ago, 30-Aug-02, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: ** QUAD2DAT ** version 0.9.4 released **  [DAT]

  Re: ** QUAD2DAT ** version 0.9.4 released **

OK, this isn't because of the "rotation" of the parts, it's because MLCad is inserting bogus commands at the top of the file 0 ROTATION CENTER 0 0 0 1 "Custom" 0 ROTATION CONFIG 0 0 It also is changing the value of the filename (removing the (...)   Re: ** QUAD2DAT ** version 0.9.4 released **

(...) Hi Lar, If it's a rotate rather than a mirror, you can use the LDAO editor to quickly rotate it. This actually rotates the matrix rather than adding a ROTATE. LDAO can also do a mirror, but it's a bit more fiddling around IIRC, and I'd have to (...) (22 years ago, 30-Aug-02, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: ** QUAD2DAT ** version 0.9.4 released **

I like this program a lot. I have a number of features/suggestions to add, is it still in active development. However I have one problem that I need help with from the user community.   Read and draw .dat files

Re: Segmented parts (ie hoses and flex tubes)

  Re: Part 3650a

Re: Segmented parts (ie hoses and flex tubes)

(...) Actually, by the guidelines for parts I posted, the flex-axle subparts should be in the parts directory. Moving the hose segments to parts/s/ would prevent the shrinkage problem, but I think there are better solutions. Steve (22 years ago, 27-Aug-02, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts, lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Ldglite bug report (Was: Portable Ldraw system)

  New Minifig

Since all the new Minifig parts (hand, left/right arms) are now available on the LDraw.org Parts Tracker, I though I'd make a minifig using them. The render can be found here: (URL) (22 years ago, 26-Aug-02, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.cad.dev, lugnet.cad.dat.models, lugnet.build.minifigs)

  Portable ldraw system

I just noticed that we need also a program like TD "a.k.a Track desingner" but for all these tools they must not use or need: No Visual Basic DLL "why because they don't work in all my 3 PC only in my good one" No run time stuff like I said above or (...)   Re: Part 3650a

Hmm, interesting. Thanks for digging into this, Clark. It's hard to judge from the Technica pictures, but I'm guessing that for LDraw, we probably won't want separate files for 3650 and 3650a (if we did want separate files, we'd call them 3650a and (...)   Re: LDGLite sketch feature

  Re: LDGLite sketch feature

(...) Thanks, Don. :-, That's the trick, it seems. Using -l3 turns it on for me, -ld turns it off. Where do I make changes so that this will still work when using the ldlite parser? Cheers, - jsproat (22 years ago, 26-Aug-02, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: LDGLite sketch feature

(...) Don't be silly. You're probably just making some simple mistake that'll seem so obvious you'll wonder why you didn't think of it yourself. For example, L3View.cpp is only used by the l3 parser. If you don't use -l3 on the command line, you (...) (22 years ago, 26-Aug-02, to lugnet.cad.dev)
