These files don't work as primitives.  A primitive file should be either
a geometric construction (like an arc, disc, cylinder, etc) or a
lego-centric feature that is likely to be reused among a large number of
different files (like studs, clips, axle holes).

My guideline for determining if a file belongs in /parts/ is that it
should fit one of these descriptions:
1. It models a complete physical part from LEGO, whether LEGO delivers
it as an individual part (like a 2x4 brick) or as part of an assembled
element (like motors, classic plate hinges, shock absorbers, etc).
2. A model-builder might need to work with the file directly.  That is,
someone creating a model out of parts might need to position the file,
or change its color.

The flexible part segments fit usage #2.

(...) Can the hose segments go in the S folder with the flex-axle subparts? Would that solve the shrinkage problem? Don (22 years ago, 26-Aug-02, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts, lugnet.cad.dev)
