(...) Yep. The only thing that matters is where the file being referenced is located. LDraw looks for files in 4 places: in parts\, p\, models\, and relative to the current directory. Irregular pieces with limited need for subpart structure and primitives, like minfig accessories and headgear, strike me as the perfect thing to create with an interactive 3D modeling tool like 3dsmax, Maya, Rhino, Milkshape3D or whatever people (...) To shear a part, you basically decide which axes are effected, such as the part's Y value increases or decreases as the Z value increases, and then add a shearing factor to the matrix in the right (...) Would making the pattern face of a slope (or wedge) a subpart to be used with the main piece (without face) subpart be ok?
