Re: Tool to reconstruct models from POV files

(...) I wasn't trying to give you a guilt trip. You asked for "potential problems", and I saw that as one of them. I apologize if I came across as implying that it was a bigger "potential problem" than it really is. --Travis (16 years ago, 5-Dec-08, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Render Effects, (Was: Re: L3P Question)

(...) Did you look at my render? (URL) say there is a definite glow in the lights there. It's all a matter of reflection and refraction. (16 years ago, 5-Dec-08, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Using Unofficial parts in seperate folder

(...) I see your point. However, in this case (AFAIK) he is using unofficial parts that have been uploaded to ldraw.org. These files are just as much under our "control" as the official parts. Further, if the model in question does not correspond to (...) (16 years ago, 5-Dec-08, to lugnet.cad)

Using Unofficial parts in seperate folder

Hi all, Recently I started working with the unofficial part files in a folder "Unofficial" in the folder of LDraw. I added this folder to the MLCad.ini file in the section [SCAN ORDER]. Next I deleted the parts.lst file and let MLCad create a new (...) (16 years ago, 5-Dec-08, to lugnet.cad)

Multiple instances of CAMERA.DAT and LOOK_AT.DAT

L3PAO currently supports CAMERA.DAT and LOOK_AT.DAT for determining camera information. I'd like to see more programs support them. However, I'm wondering how best to handle cases where multiple sets of the files are defined? There's no way I know (...) (16 years ago, 5-Dec-08, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Tool to reconstruct models from POV files

(...) Please, no guilt trips. Thanks. The program has had, what, one update in seven years? I'm supposed to refrain from developing my own software based on that? -Mike (16 years ago, 5-Dec-08, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: MOC Updates

(...) I noticed that a lot of the MPD files were out of date or incomplete. I've updated them all to the latest and most complete versions. You can also now download them all in a single archive. Sorry about that. -Mike (16 years ago, 5-Dec-08, to lugnet.cad.dat.models)

All right, I'm finished. You can download it from my LDraw tools page: (URL) works with version 1.3 and 1.4 beta of L3P. You need to have the Windows Scripting Host installed in order to run it, which should already be the case with nearly everyone. (...) (16 years ago, 4-Dec-08, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Tool to reconstruct models from POV files

(...) Hehe. I'm almost done already. :) Only a few more hours to go. Luckily, the relevant syntax hasn't changed between L3P 1.3 and 1.4 and the process overall is surprisingly simple. -Mike (16 years ago, 3-Dec-08, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Tool to reconstruct models from POV files

Tool to reconstruct models from POV files

MLCad being used by Lego Universe dev team?

Hey guys, Got the latest Lego Universe newsletter, and found this interesting. (URL) screenshot of the CAD bricks seems to be from MLCad, with the edge lines and stud resolution. I would think they'd be using Lego's internal Maya library. -Stefan- (16 years ago, 3-Dec-08, to lugnet.cad)
