The screenshot of the CAD bricks seems to be from MLCad, with the edge lines and stud resolution. I would think they’d be using Lego’s internal Maya library.

The shading looks too smooth to be MLCAD. Also, the studs in the image have the logo on top, which MLCAD doesn’t do.

The LDraw suite of tools might be the easier method to create simple models from scratch than the heavyweight parts-authoring tools they probably use in-house. In fact, I still find the original ledit.exe by James Jessiman to be in many ways more (...) (16 years ago, 3-Dec-08, to lugnet.cad, FTX)
