Well I got my page redesigned, and hope it loads better, you want to run on 800 x 600 and as many colors as possible, but 16bit or 256 is OK. Ya , TLC should take notice of individual piece sales thru forms like e-bay, brickbay, there is obvioulsy a demand for what the builder needs, They would be smart to cash in, on the other hand we all know TLC is smart about making there product (...) (URL) tech picture, an improved skeletal structure for the leg. Use of these angled arms with girders attached instead of sculpting with low sloped bricks makes for a lighter and cheaper structure. Yep, Back in 1988, yep winter I rekon, I started building the Black Robot, a sort of Insect GigerMech. Yep, thought it was purty futuristic at the time. Hey still is. Looks great Rick! Is this your first mecha? If it is, than excellent first try, most people have to fiddle long before they come up with something cool. Yes infact, a Freind of mine has been filming my shows in an effort to produce a documentry on my work, he filmed the Armature at the Jersey City Artist show in OCT. 2000, we got some great movment on film , the Armature has 20 Motors, touch sensors (...) Great thanks fo the compliment, I especially appreciate it comming from you, The Black Robot has no mechanical motion, the Red Robot has mechanical joints supported by worm gears but no mechanical motion....and yes My current project is evan bigger! Thanks Bryce. I'll add some thumbnails to the models page, maybe 100x100 jpegs will do. I was hoping to keep the website size down since I'm hosting from home, but i think some thumbs would be nice. I own a YF-21 Valkyrie, but Yamato is releasing a Fastpack version this fall, and I'm tempted to get that one when it's released. Mine is the Japanese model. I have been showing my robots for years at art shows and the like, I would love for more people to do so, fact is they are are expensive, I produce a new robot once every year or two. The Black Robot was built from 88' thru 91' it took about 2 1/2 years to create , back when I was a supervisor at UPS I spent $2000 on mostly Black Tron 1 sets, I had so many extra pcs. that I added an addtional $500 and created the Red Robot (...) Hey all. I finished my first "small" mecha. I decided a while ago to try and make a "buffed out" throwbot piece based mech. I was trying to capture the "feel" of a gorilla and still keep it a mecha. It's been a while since I went to DITRI. It looks like Mr Fujisawa has been busy. While I've seen most if those mechas, a few are new. Fairly large as far as mechs go. Indeed, I agree , I ahve always admired his work, he has a link posted on lugnet. I'd like to see more people build robots in this style, big mech-y creations! Since Kunimasa, nor anybody else here, has posted anything regarding his mecha, I felt obligated to bring everybody's attention to his amazing work (mecha MOCs)... (...) Todd, The Perseus is cool. It doesn't even look throwbot joint based. this mech looks more "buffed out" than some of your others. The Shocktrooper still rules though!! I haven't tried to make an EVA yet because they're so spindly, they wouldn't be likely to stand very well, and it would be darn difficult to get the proportions correct. (...)
