In regards to the arms and legs on the first valk; it doesn't handle weight
well. I did my best to do what I could. I primarily used a combination of
lite construction(most of the inner sections are hollowed) and a lot of
click hinges.
The arm itself is a combination of click hinges, throwbot joints(which I
cut, please forgive me) and minor technic pieces. The hands ride on a
technic beam to allow the hands to move in and out of the arm cavity. The
elbow is comprised of click hinges and a technic peg. The shoulder a
combination of throwbot joints and technic but it is still completely loose
which sucks. I'm gonna have to borrow some of that gundam joint technology
I've been seeing around these parts. . . :)
The legs are all click hinges and the rest of the body uses technic pieces.
Overall weight was a big nasty problem. It made the valkyrie very fragile
and eventually brought about its early demise. That's why I went smaller so
I could get posability and more strength and playability.
I'll eventually revisit this particular project again. Hopefully by then
I'll have more clever solutions for them.

| Wow! Your new Valkyrie model looks great! Definitely more leaner than your first Valkyrie. BTW how do the arms and legs in your first Valkyrie stand all that weight? It looks like you used a combination of click-hinges and technic joints to do that, (...) (24 years ago, 15-Mar-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)
