Believe me, I understand. My life goal has always been to be a type B person.
I'm not there yet. Please note that I suggested that we *all* take a timeout.
As much as I love lugnet, I would not volunteer to be an Admin. I do not have
the patience needed to be a good admin. Larry's patience has been worn thin for
weeks now. He is about as far as one can get from 'Buddha' response. Am I the
only one that sees this?
I would respectfully submit that LUGNET Admin is not a good job match for Larry.
I have a lot of respect for Larry. We have butted heads and surivied as
friends. My respect for Larry has been going down given his behavior,
especially since he is in the power position. My respect for Chris after his
behavior is nill.
He contributes a lot to LUGNET, and still has much to give, but I submit that it
would be best served not in the role of an Admin. That is what we are trying to
get you to notice. Chris' transgressions seem to be blinding the lugnet powers
to Larry's transgressions.

It was not the reminder of the ToU, it was the "assumed intent of violating the
ToU" tone that I felt was conduct unbecoming an Admin. There was no gentle
reminder. There was nothing light about it. It was very heavy handed, and
uneeded. More than one of us indicated to Larry that we thought it was an
overreaction to the situation. The person who got chewed out was very offended,
and rightfully so.

Even his replacement post was conduct unbecoming an Admin in my opinion. It was
full of combative, provocative, and demeaning tone. There was certainly name
calling too. There is a repeated pattern of overreaction to violations to ToU
in my opinion. Those of us who voice our opinion on this then get a "Larry is
not Buddha" response.

| (...) I would also point out that Lar coun't resist mentioning the provocation in his "(URL) apology post>". Sounds too much like "I'm sorry, but it was his fault" which just doesn't cut it with me. ROSCO (20 years ago, 4-Mar-05, to lugnet.admin.general, FTX) !

| (...) By *all* do you really mean all? As in shutting the discussion groups down for a period of time? That would be awfully unfair to innocent bystanders. Or do you mean all involved in these recent threads? (...) Well, Larry himself has said that (...) (20 years ago, 4-Mar-05, to lugnet.admin.general)
