Even his replacement post was conduct unbecoming an Admin in my opinion. It was full of combative, provocative, and demeaning tone. There was certainly name calling too. There is a repeated pattern of overreaction to violations to ToU in my opinion. Those of us who voice our opinion on this then get a “Larry is not Buddha” response.

I would also point out that Lar coun’t resist mentioning the provocation in his “apology post”. Sounds too much like “I’m sorry, but it was his fault” which just doesn’t cut it with me.

It sounds to me like there isnt anything Lar can do to ‘cut it’ with you.

I am referring to this post, where Larry is berating, resorts to name calling, to the point of questioning people’s manhood. From where I’m sitting as an Admin, this is crossing the line.

I respect Larry for 12407

What Lar said is that he is responsible for his actions regardless of any context - including being provoked.

I personally am very pleased by Lar’s public statement of guilt, and his promise to try better next time. I don’t think I’ve seen anyone else in this affair post something like that, whether couched in ‘its-really-his-fault’ terms or not.

If he was only refering to the post that he cancelled then his admission of guilt is pretty small IMHO, but at least it is a start.
