Re: Attack of the star wars sales :)

(...) Wait... You did this on purpose, not just by accident, but rather to "prove a point"?? Not sure that was a good idea. If you think there is change needed, there are channels to suggest it, which may be a better approach than deliberatley doing (...)   Attack of the Compartmentalization

(...) I'm not sure it would work, though. I mean, it has a very satisfying "tweak" quality, which I appreciate, but annoyance generally provokes defiance in those who would be likely to "shout you down." Those among the USians who agree with you (...) (22 years ago, 26-Apr-02, to lugnet.admin.suggestions)

  Re: Fantasy group?

(...) You point out someting which I was somewhat ignoring, that someone posting the material is asking for a new group, however, a quick search for Pern on Lugnet finds 22 posts, 7 of which are in the thread which Kevin started, 8 of which (at the (...)   Re: Help Please Links! -----> .Mecha

(...) I think that's about the size of it. Suz and the other admins, I suspect, don't have time to maintain links pages. I would suggest that you might want to mount an effort to find another curator candidate among your ranks. You said you (...) (22 years ago, 7-May-02, to lugnet.admin.curators, lugnet.build.mecha)

(...) Actually, that isn't entirely true, Eric. I put in my bid for this curatorship some months ago when curatorships were first announced. Unfortunately, so much time has gone by and I've become so busy that I don't feel I could do the curator (...) (...) I think he is! ... with a little help from the readership of course. He *is* the curator of .build.military after all. :-) I just scoped out what changes he did already and they look good.   Re: Block user X from replying to a message by user Y

(...) I dispute that it was an "attack". But the question of what level of competitive response is appropriate on LUGNET(tm) is a valid question, which I would love to see someone else take up by starting a new thread. I suggest neither Scott nor I (...) (22 years ago, 14-May-02, to lugnet.admin.suggestions)

  Sales and Auctions

Hey Y'all: Idea Number One: My weakest recommendation is that an honor system be set up on the marketplace pages, and that any seller obtaining a sale from a contact made on Lugnet pay a small percentage of that sale to Lugnet.
