According to the set inventories I have, none of the Castle or Pirates sets had black barrels. I think your best chances to find black barrels would be in Wild West and maybe Ninja sets, but I am not even sure if any of those sets have them. They (...) (25 years ago, 11-Jan-00, to lugnet.general)

Your right John! eBay has played a BIG part in the price reduction, infact... think about it, 6086 on ebay could very well sell for $250 or more a year ago, now though I doubt you could get half that price. I just got a 5900 from Shop-at-Home. It turned out to be produced in Europe. It just has a label added across the front warning about the choking hazard. See (URL) pictures. Yes, that's what I was thinking when looking at the scans of the new star wars technic droids. There doesn't seem to be a single studded brick in these sets!
