What set should I get next?

I'm another one of those people who got a Mindstorms set at Christmas and
I'm wondering now what Lego set to get next. I'm looking for a set that has
a lot of gears (I never seem to have enough of them) and gives me a bit more
experience with using them.
I'm currently looking at three sets:
8479 - Barcode Multi Set
8462 - Tow Truck
8480 - Space Shuttle
Ideally, I'd love to get them all, but sadly this isn't an ideal world.
So what do you think is the best addition to my growing Lego collection?

| (...) I cannot comment on the other 2, but the barcode truck is a heck of a neat model in and of itself. Mindstorms would make a great adition to it (then you could have a self aware garbage truck :) Lots of gears, and the flex tubing parts. 2 (...) (24 years ago, 11-Jan-00, to lugnet.robotics)

| Karl, I don't know about the barcode set, but I have both of the other ones. If you need gears, go for the shuttle, if you can still get it. It's got loads of them. And some motors, a gearbox, lots of axles (black and white). Build it at least once, (...) (24 years ago, 17-Jan-00, to lugnet.robotics)
