Jeff Johnston:

*Iff* you are familiar with HTML.[1]  If not, then I suggest a WYSIWYG HTML
editor - I think both major browsers include one.[2]

You are right about that for starting on documents, but it
is often easier to tweak the actual code without a WYSUW_Y_G
(not what the rest of the world gets) editor.

No matter if you use a text editor or an WYSUW_Y_G editor,
you should still use HTML Tidy for making sure the code is
correct.

I realize that the editors are inelegant and that they don't make the
code in the 'best' way possible.  On the other hand, they are much faster
and easier to use than just typing the HTML code by hand, especially if
you're not 100% familiar with it all.

Yes. And if you run you code through HTML Tidy, many of the
problems the WYSUW_Y_G editors introduce will be fixed.

Play well,

Jacob
