  A few questions...
 
1. Does anybody know if the Crickets at MIT are an off the shelf microprocessor with proprietary firmware or is everything from scratch? And, 2. Has anybody built a cam-bot that can be loaded onto an Estes rocket, lauched, survive impact, deploy, (...) (25 years ago, 3-Jan-00, to lugnet.robotics)

If any of you missed it Legoland California had an entry in the Rose Parade held in Pasadena California. I picked up two RIS 1.0 for $140 each. They were the last two there...I think they had just put them out earlier that day. I got some RIS at $173, some cheaper, and have already bought all the RIS1.5 upgrades for them and sold the ones I had (I LOST money on 2, made money on the other 3, so it evened out) available. Sooner or later I'm going to try what I talked about in another thread - pulling the motor out of the shell, and adding in a capacitor and other circuits, so that the capacitor feeds non-stop 9V to lights or other circuits, while the "main" circuit (...)
