yes, the top left and bottom right have worm gears on them, whereas the top
right and bottom left have plain sleeves on them...but this is not a catalog
picture, and it could have been a "lets see how it looks" picture, that got
used for more than it was supposed to.

It is worth noting that at least one X-Wing production model had a
corkscrew-type paint job on those two opposing cannons, in the position that
the worm gears are placed.  It appears on the 6+ foot production model.  It's
possible they were placed there to represent that design.
